Volubilis, west of Riad Souafine
Volubilis: a Roman city famous for its splendid mosaïcs.
Not far from Moulay Idriss, in a fertile plain, extends Volubilis. This magnificent Roman city, partially restored gives an idea of the previous beauty and richness of Volubilis.
The famous mosaics on the site testify to the quality of the craftsmen of the period.
It is recommended to hire an official guides on the site if you do not want to miss the most important remains, the Volubilis site is immense but not very well signposted.
During the hot season it is better to visit in the morning because the heat of the afternoon can be difficult to bear especially since there is nothing to hide from the sun.
